Himalaya Nepal Organization was formally registered, not distributing profit having incorporated on the 1 day of January 2023 pursuant to sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Companies Act, 2006. And founder of this organization Mr. Chandra Bahadur Gurung has been working in social work since 2001 directly and indirectly in different parts of remote Nepal. And due to individuals working in the social sector, there are some obstacles, we faced when we are in the field. So, now we are legally organizing under the Nepal government Social Welfare Act, 2049.
Himalaya Nepal Organization will collaborate with Nepal’s most remote communities to address issues of Health, Education, Women Empowerment, and social injustice, as well as to challenge harmful social norms, develop capacities, and improve livelihoods. Today, Himalaya Nepal Organization aims to address the structural and systemic causes of social injustice, such as prejudice against people because of their gender, caste, class, ethnicity, or location. In order to address the vulnerabilities caused by climate change and natural disasters, HNO supports humanitarian initiatives as well.
In order to assure their empowerment, well-being, and dignity through social transformation and access to top-notch social and economic services, HNO works with marginalized women and adolescent girls. In order to support the most vulnerable communities and populations, HNO collaborates with a variety of participants, including local NGOs, INGOs, Persons and other civil society organizations, government agencies, academic institutions, the commercial sector, and donors. Himalaya Nepal Organization wants to give remote Nepalese women and girls the Education, Health, social strength, and daily livelihood of their life.
