After the earthquake in Nepal in 2015, Denise Didi arrived in Nepal. And I had gone her place in Thamel. And they were gathering and discussed how to contribute to remote places in Nepal after the earthquake. When I reached there, we were discussing Chalish village. They have brought some solar for the rural village which they can use for nighttime. I did not have access to provide the current solar light distribution in Chalish. However, I request them to propose and lighting system for that village then they agreed to provide some solar light because there was no electricity, and they kerosene for lighting in the nighttime.<\/p>\n

Nepal, being situated in a geographically diverse region with varying altitudes, experiences different levels of solar irradiance across the country. The solar light distribution in Nepal is influenced by factors such as latitude, altitude, local climate, and cloud cover patterns.In contrast, the northern regions of Dhading of Nepal, comprising the Himalayan Mountain range, receive comparatively lower electricity, and especially Chalish village did not get electricity when we were distributing solar lights.<\/p>\n

Despite the variation in solar irradiance across the country, solar energy is considered a viable and sustainable source of power in Nepal. The government and various organizations have been working to promote solar energy installations and initiatives to harness the abundant sunlight available in many parts of the country. It’s worth noting that the situation may have evolved since my last update, and for the most current and specific data on solar light distribution in Nepal, I recommend referring to the latest reports and data published by government agencies, research institutions, or solar energy organizations.<\/p>\n
